What is neurodiversity?

What is
neurodiversity?

Most people perceive and process stimuli similarly because their nervous system developed in a typical way. These people are described as neurotypical, and because they think and perceive reality similarly – it is easier for them to understand each other.

However, when the nervous system develops by a different pathway and acts differently – we are dealing with a neuronontypical person. Its behaviour is often incomprehensible to the general public because it acts in an unconventional way to which we are not accustomed. A different way of processing information can be an advantage if you gain knowledge of how to work together in a neurodiverse team.

Why is it worth it
to bet on neurodiversity?

Companies that employ workers on the autism spectrum gain loyal employees as long as they adapt the working environment and processes used to them. Neurodiverse teams are more creative and innovative, and their productivity can increase by up to 48%.

Inclusive and social action is also a value followed by the employees of the younger generation, who will make up 75% of the labour market by 2025.
