Yesterday we had the pleasure of participating in the conference “CSR in small and medium-sized enterprises – challenges, trends and dilemmas” organized by the European Leasing Fund.
The event was an opportunity to learn about the results of the report “CSR in SMEs. Under scrutiny”. The meeting aimed to showcase good practices and dispel the myth that corporate social responsibility can only be tackled by large corporations.
The debate on the subject was moderated by a journalist who promotes ethics in business and building social capital, Pawel Oksanowicz, author of the only cyclical radio program in Poland on the subject, “Bizon-Biznes Odpowiedzialny i Nowoczesny” (i.e., BIZON-Business – Responsible and Modern) on MUZO.FM.
The event was highlighted by a superb and captivating lecture by a special guest – a well-known journalist, publicist, writer, and two-time Grand Press award winner Szymon Hołownia. Based on his experiences, the journalist talked about how one can do good and save people without leaving work.
The meeting ended with the inauguration of the “Young Entrepreneur” project.
The asperIT project is a great example of how the combined power of NGO activities with the business sector produces great results and allows us to do real good. We are all the more pleased by the fact that business is opening up – which is important, not only in the context of image building – to social activity and the promotion of such activities.
